The graduating class of 1972 entered 8th grade in 1967. It was before the Marlington Local School District built a middle school. It was the first year of our education when we left our three township and parochial schools. We became almost high schoolers sharing the halls of Marlington High School, mainly the new addition facing Beeson Street, with the high school students. New friendships and experiences were made. It was a most uncertain and thrilling introduction to senior high school life.

“My dear terrified graduates, you are about to enter the most uncertain and thrilling period of your lives.”

Lin-Manuel Miranda
